CRRT stands for continuous renal replacement therapy which is essentially a form of haemofiltration. It is used to treat unstable patients with kidney failure in the ICU.
The process of haemofiltration can be done manually but it is very tedious and labour intensive. In CRRT, a machine is utilized and this automate much of the process. Setting up of the CRRT machine takes time and experience. This video showed the practical steps in the setting up of the CRRT machine.
