In the 2003 SARS epidemic in Hong Kong, 23% were Healthcare workers. Hong Kong did not have SARS cases afterwards but in the Middle East, there is a similar outbreak called MERS.
Review of the lesson learnt from the 2003 outbreak is now most timely. Ms Wong Sui Lan and Dr Ho Chung Ping discussed the risk factors and the protective measures in the personnel protection against SARS.
