Haemodiafiltraton (HDF) is a new technique that combines the conventional haemodialysis with haemofiltration. It has some advantages over the usual haemodialysis but it is more expensive. The cost differential between the two is decreasing and in future, it may take over haemodialysis as the main stream dialysis method.
