Diabetic nephropathy is a dreadful disease. In Hong Kong, about 50% of patients on dialysis suffered from diabetic nephropathy with end-stage renal disease. Despite early detection with urine microalbumin test, ACEI and ARB treatment, the situation is still not satisfactory. Dr Ho Chung Ping talked on the early intervention strategy, hoping to achieve blood sugar control early in the disease. He hoped this would improve the outcome.
